Tavola
Shortly after our founding, LANDology was invited by Friendswood Development Company to participate in a design competition for one of their upcoming communities to be developed on IH-69N in New Caney, TX. The community was to be known as Tavola, the Italian word for “table.” The logo had also already been determined which featured Italian Cypress trees. LANDology imagined a potential identity and theme across large, medium, and smaller scale entries and offered our recommended approach to capturing a new Texas/ Italian aesthetic. While this effort didn’t win LANDology the project at that time, it did serve to introduce our firm and our capabilities to the developer which lead to future projects as our staff grew. We’re also flattered by the obvious influence our design had on the built project entry shown below.
