Jonathan McMillian

FOUNDER + PRINCIPAL

Jonathan earned a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Texas A&M University. He has parlayed his technical skills, creative designs, and outstanding client relationships and project management to create a great and growing team at LANDology. He has had the privilege of successfully completing projects for many respected developers and local municipalities including Howard Hughes Corporation (The Woodlands, The Woodlands Hills, Bridgeland), Johnson Development Company (Woodforest), Friendswood Development Company, The Woodlands Township, the City of Conroe, and the City of Shenandoah. This college football enthusiast (mostly as the 12th Man to the Fightin’ Texas Aggies), drummer, and KitKat-loving father of four defines what it means to be an educator, an artist, and a leader.

John Tipton

SR LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT + STUDIO LEAD

John, a graduate and BIG supporter of Iowa State University, prides himself in big design ideas integrated throughout a project and carried to their successful implementation. Since joining our firm in 2017, John has successfully managed multiple park projects with construction budgets exceeding $1MM in Bridgeland including Hillside Park, Town Square Park, and Honey Creek Park. Positive and energetic, he quickly takes action when necessary, keeping project momentum on pace and in budget. When John is not passionately designing people-places you can find him at home and on the move trying to keep up with his three active boys. He has a fear of heights and is TERRIFIED of spiders! His personality is contagious, and we hope you have the opportunity to experience it too.

Patricia Uribe

LANDSCAPE DESIGNER

Patricia, originally from Colombia, fell in love with Landscape Architecture during her 4th year of undergraduate architecture school, studying in Scotland. She subsequentially completed her Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania in 2000 and worked for Peter Lindsay Schaudt in Chicago, Illinois. At LANDology, Patricia loves to draw and design by hand and uses her background in Architecture to provide a spatial and urban design perspective to each project. Her focus on well-designed safe spaces and environmental interest set her projects apart. Her Spanish and Portuguese fluency enhances communication with international clients and construction workers. Patricia’s exposure to major landscape design projects and her diverse cultural background enriches her understanding of the problems, and the possible solutions she offers. A loving wife and proud mother of two boys, she enjoys supporting her boys' love for the arts. You can find her at their choir, orchestra and theater performances.

He likes staying current with the newest varieties of plants as they become commercially available. He has earned a reputation for thorough and exceptional customer service, ensuring that all clients are heard, and that their visions come to life. His love for the outdoors, dedication to being well organized, and superior problem-solving skills led him to be the lead designer of Teralyn Woods Park in The Woodlands Hills-a Park inspired by the children's story “Jack and The Beanstalk”, including the play equipment. Stephen loves to travel. In addition to living in Indonesia, he’s traveled to 18 countries. When Stephen is not thrashing in mosh pits around the world, you can find him creating artificial habitats for displaced Golden Cheek Warblers in West Houston.
