GEOSOUTHERN EXECUTIVE CAMPUS
Local oil & gas company, GeoSouthern Energy Corporation, hired Kirksey to renovate and expand upon what has become their executive’s campus in The Woodlands. The existing buildings, originally built in the 1980’s, were in need of updating and expansion. While LANDology’s familiarity with landscape in “the woods” may have been what brought them to the team initially, their comfortability and sensitivity to placing, presenting and embracing public art in the landscape was an equal contribution to the success of this project when the decision was made to incorporate the piece by Chris Nelson. The campus has transitioned from invisible buildings in the suburban forest to a contemporary, yet comfortable, workplace tucked into a woodland pocket at The Woodlands town center.
